A Physician Who Truly Listens

Dr. Morgan Katz brings a fresh perspective to family medicine, combining exceptional clinical training with a genuine passion for building lasting relationships with her patients. Her journey to becoming a physician reflects her commitment to comprehensive, compassionate care for patients at every stage of life.

After completing her undergraduate studies at the prestigious University of Virginia with dual majors in Biology and Political Sciences, Dr. Katz pursued her calling in medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her osteopathic training emphasized treating the whole person rather than just symptoms—a philosophy that continues to guide her practice today.

During her residency at Jefferson Health-Abington Hospital, Dr. Katz distinguished herself through clinical excellence and leadership, ultimately serving as Chief Resident. This role allowed her to mentor other physicians while honing her skills in complex case management and healthcare delivery improvement.

Professional Experience

Before launching Brandywine Direct Primary Care, Dr. Katz gained valuable experience at ChristianaCare Primary Care at Limestone, one of Delaware's leading healthcare systems. This experience reinforced her belief that the traditional healthcare model often doesn't allow physicians enough time with their patients.

As a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), Dr. Katz stays current with the latest advances in family medicine and primary care delivery models. Her board certification in family medicine demonstrates her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of medical knowledge and patient care.

Why Direct Primary Care?

Dr. Katz chose to establish a Direct Primary Care practice because she believes healthcare should be personal, accessible, and affordable. The DPC model allows her to limit her patient panel, ensuring each patient receives the time, attention, and personalized care they deserve.

"In traditional practice, I often felt rushed and unable to address all of my patients' concerns," explains Dr. Katz. "Direct Primary Care removes those barriers. Now I can spend 30-60 minutes with each patient, be available by text or phone, and truly partner with families in their health journey."

Beyond the White Coat

Dr. Katz believes that understanding her patients as whole people—not just their medical conditions—is essential to providing excellent care. She brings that same authenticity to her own life.

When she's not caring for patients, you might find Dr. Katz exploring Delaware's beautiful hiking trails with her rescue dog, experimenting with new baking recipes in her kitchen, or planning her next travel adventure with her husband. These personal passions help her maintain the balance and perspective that make her such a compassionate and effective physician.

Her rescue dog has taught her about patience and unconditional love—qualities she brings to every patient interaction. Her love of baking reflects her attention to detail and commitment to following through on promises. And her travels have broadened her perspective, helping her appreciate and respect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of her patients.
